It's been a while.

The last time I wrote here regularly, I was leading Node.js at Joyent and thinking about native addon APIs and DNS implementations. That was 2013. Since then I've helped build Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, launched Stripe Apps, and now lead the teams behind the Stripe Dashboard.

A lot has changed. The thing that hasn't changed is the itch to write about the problems I'm seeing — not the solved ones, but the ones we're still in the middle of figuring out.

I dusted off this blog because I had something I wanted to write about, and it didn't fit in a Slack thread. You can read it here: What is a Platform Team?

The old posts are still in the archive — a time capsule of a different era, including some Dr. Horrible guitar tabs. I'm not going to pretend they're all still relevant, but they're part of the history.
